I've got a dream!

Welcome back!

If your mind didn't go straight to the "I've got a dream" song from Tangled, then go do yourself a favor and watch the movie! It is one of my favorites of the modern Disney princess movies. But enough about Punzie, and back to me!

I grew up going to Disney with my family almost every year for our summer vacation, so my love for Mickey started at a young age. My first trip was right before I turned one. My fun fact growing up was always that I had been to Disney more than 18 times before I graduated high school. At the same time, I completely understand how fortunate I am to be able to have that as my fun fact.

I always thought it would be so cool to be able to work at Walt Disney World, but it was one of those things that stayed pretty much just a thought and nothing that I ever acted on. It wasn't until college that I even knew there was this thing called the Disney College Program. A couple of people I knew went down to Orlando to participate in the program, and I thought it sounded so cool. The thought of taking a semester off of school, AND I got to work for Disney?? YES PLEASE! It turned out to not be that easy though. The way my classes were scheduled for my major, if I was to take a semester off to participate, then I would be behind a whole year instead. So I just thought that would be the end of that dream, but thank goodness I was wrong.

I got my degree in Exercise Science with the plans of going on to physical therapy school after graduation. My senior year though, I decided I didn't want to go on to four more years of school. It's safe to say my parents slightly panicked that I had just spent four years in school to change my mind right at the end. I still loved my major, but I just didn't want to continue on in physical therapy school. That left me with the big "well what now?" question.

I'm planning a whole Disney College Program post, so I'll go into more detail there, but I decided that the fall after I graduated that I would apply to go work at Disney. So that's exactly what I did. It had always been my dream to work at Disney, and right then was the perfect opportunity to go. I was done with college, and I was in the in between phase of what I was going to do next with my life. That is how my time with Disney began, and that was February of 2015 when I moved down there. So now, six years later, it's safe to say I made the right decision taking that leap of faith to move down to Orlando!

Thank you all so much for the love and support so far for me starting this journey here! Subscribe below, so you don't miss the next posts, and let me know if there is anything I should talk about!
