My Top 5 Skincare Must Haves

So, I can’t even pretend like I have everything together, or that I have this flawless skincare routine that I have always done. I used to be the girl that was lucky if I even washed my makeup off at night (now I know I know! I shouldn’t have done that! But you live and you learn). Now I like to think I have this pretty good routine and products that work well for me, so I thought I would share them with you! I went ahead and added links to each of the products in case you’re reading and decide that you want to try one of them for yourself!

1. Supergoop! PLAY Everyday Lotion SPF 50 PA++++ 5.5 oz/ 162 mL

This has been my go-to everyday sunscreen for the last 2 years. My face can be super sensitive to sunscreen specifically, like to the point I used to not even be able to reapply sunscreen to my face throughout the day. With Supergoop, it doesn't leave my face feeling sticky, it doesn't leave a white residue, and I can apply it again throughout the day if needed.

2. HelloBody COCO Face Set

HelloBody is a company that I have just been introduced to within the last couple of months, and it has quickly become a favorite! As an influencer for them, I was able to pick out a set to purchase and try. I chose the COCO Face Set, and I am SO glad that I did! They smell just like coconut and leave me feeling like I have just spent the day at the beach each time I wash my face! All of the products in this set are free from paraben, silicone, and microplastic. It comes with a face cleanser, face scrub, mask, and a night face lotion. Since I am an influencer for HelloBody, I do have a code for you to get 30% off of your first order with them! REFB3YEIX7IXL

3. The INKEY List Retinol Anti-Aging Serum 1 oz/ 30 mL

Since I am turning 30 in July (scary to think about) I decided it was time that I up my skincare routine to more than just a cleanser and a moisturizer. I wanted to try a retinol, but I really didn’t know where to start to find one… I found this one from INKEY List that was reasonably priced and in a small bottle in case I didn’t like it. I started out using it at night about 3 times a week, and now I use it almost every night. It leaves my face feeling smooth and doesn’t irritate it like I have heard some retinol does.

4. The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Masque

For a while, everyone was raving about the salicylic acid serum from The Ordinary, and of course by the time that I hopped onto the skincare routine train, it was sold out. Not only was it sold out all of the time, but they went to just not making it anymore. That’s when I came across this Salicylic Acid Masque from them, so I decided to try it. It’s not something that I use every day, and really, you’re not supposed to use it every day. This is my go-to when my face is breaking out (probably from stress often). I’ll use it at night, and I’ll leave it on for about 10 minutes then wash it off. My face feels so much softer afterwards, and the next day I can really see a decrease in breakouts after using it.

5. The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

This is another one of the products that I bought when I decided it was time to really focus and take care of my skin. With all of the stress from the last year, I know we are all feeling it, I have had more breakouts than really ever before. I started using this Niacinamide every day. I cleanse my face in the morning, apply the Niacinamide, and then I’ll add moisturizer after that to complete my routine. This is gentle enough to be used every day, but make sure you check what other serums you are using it with. If it’s on that can’t be used together, then I will split them up and use one in the morning and one at night.

Let me know what you think and if you plan on trying one of these by leaving a comment below!
